Grown in the Ainaro region of South-Western Timor Leste, this washed Arabica coffee is produced by local farmers using traditional hand-picked and sorted methods. Cultivated at 1500 MASL, it features a selection of Typica and local hybrid varietals that reflect the region’s evolving coffee identity.
Around 80% of coffee in Timor Leste is Arabica, grown by an estimated 67,000 small-scale producers, many of whom rely on coffee as their primary source of income. Most coffees are wet-milled or washed within 24 hours of picking, helping preserve quality and clarity in the cup.
Expect a lively and clean profile with fruity brightness, cocoa notes, gentle acidity, and a soft, biscuity undertone. This coffee represents a growing sector that continues to improve in quality through dedicated farming and ongoing support from local and international development efforts.
A bright, balanced coffee with roots in resilience and care.
